Description

Proline Prosonic Flow P500 Ultrasonic Flowmeter

Reliable, flexible, zero maintenance – noninvasive flow measurement, consistently accurate, even under challenging conditions

Field of application

Prosonic Flow P 500 is the ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter of choice for safe and maintenance-free measurement of conductive and non-conductive liquids, even in challenging applications. It measures flow noninvasively and bidirectionally, independent of pressure, density and conductivity, and without process interruption. FlowDC makes mounting as flexible as never before. The specified accuracy is maintained at an inlet run of only 2 x DN, even in the case of disturbed flow profiles.

Special coupling pads make this ultrasonic clamp-on system maintenance-free during the entire product life cycle.

In addition, Prosonic Flow P 500 is available with:

  • high-temperature sensors for measurement up to 550 °C (1022 °F)

  • a Petroleum Application Package (PAP), calculating the standard volume for liquid hydrocarbons

  • Heartbeat Technology, providing continuous process transparency. This way, build-up can be detected before it affects operation

Benefits

  • Flexible mounting – FlowDC reduces inlet runs to a minimum

  • High safety standards – Prosonic Flow P 500 is developed according to IEC 61508 functional safety requirements and holds international approvals for hazardous area, Zone 1 and Class I, Division 1

  • Reliable measurement performance – proven sensors in combination with maintenance-free mounting system deliver long-term stable signals, also in high-temperature applications (≤550 °C/1022 °F)

  • User-friendly operation – the web server offers full remote access, while the device’s touch display offers convenient on-site interaction

  • Transparent process insights – Heartbeat Technology with its integrated diagnostics, verification and monitoring functions enable compliance and process safety at all times

  • Low capital investment – cost-effectiveness increases with the pipe diameter (up to DN 4000/160″)
